Hello! If you’re here you’re probably wondering who I am…or you’re my mother – if that’s the case, Mom you know me already, just skip to the photos and stuff that you’re really interested in.

On the off chance you’re not my mother, welcome! So glad you stopped by. Here’s a little primer on me:

I’m a wife, daughter, sister (& twin), educator, traveller, gardener, runner, renovator, friend, reader and a whole bunch of other things too.  I really appreciate how learning is often connected to sharing…hence the blog.

My husband and I bought our home in October 2010.  Since joining the land of renovators and decorators out there I’ve been sooooo grateful to a host of wonderful bloggers who have shared their own journeys online.  I really didn’t know much about the blogging world when I started reading those great home/DIY/decor/life blogs…and frankly, I still don’t…so bear with me.  I’ll be learning as I go.

Ultimately, I want this to be a space to share with family and friends parts of our journey and stop trying to answer the question “is your house done yet?” 🙂 I’m also hoping it might be a place to sort out my thoughts, plans and ideas, document the joys (oh the joys) of our project and inspirations found along the way. And perhaps some bits about our travels and adventures and life in general. So yes, a bit of everything.

I’ve already learned that it’s easy to be both overjoyed and overwhelmed with turning our house into a home…and look forward to sharing about both of those aspects and the places in between.
